Our studio is geared towards helping the struggling artist make their CD dreams come true! Located on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, our facility offers a relaxed, down-home atmosphere in a semi-rural setting, conducive to the flow of your creative juices.
David Sinclair, a five time SCMA winner and the owner/operator of Riverbend Sound Studio, has fifty years of experience in the music and recording industry. He started out playing old time music with his dad, and in the sixties he joined Eddy Mason and the Night Hawks out of Prince Albert. Since then, he has played with The Esquires out of Moose Jaw, then on to Regina with The Creations and many groups out of Saskatoon, including The Brass Mint, Phoenix, Medallion, and Karysma. One of the highlights of his musical career was opening for The Kentucky Headhunters and he is proud to be a founding member of the five-time award-winning group Diamonds & Dirt out of Prince Albert.
Having experience with many musical styles gives David an edge when it come to producing. He co-produced an award winning album (Larry Krause - The Gate is Open, Gospel Album of the Year in 2007), giving credence to his abilities in the studio. Riverbend Sound Studio has also been nominated for Studio of the Year by the members of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association three years running.
The studio has had good commercial success, beginning with the release of True Blue by Larry Krause which garnered a nomination for album of the Year in 2005. David also appears as a session musician in many of the productions out of his studio, playing bass, guitar, mandolin, keyboards, and programming drum tracks.
